We’re delighted to share that the new Multi-Faith Centre at the University of Exeter has reached completion.
This landmark project began with our original concept design, which successfully evolved through planning into a fully realised scheme. Designed to serve the diverse spiritual needs of the University community, the building carefully balances the distinct requirements of multiple faith groups within a welcoming, inclusive space.
Set in the heart of a busy campus, the project overcame significant site and access challenges, delivering a highly sustainable and beautifully detailed building that meets the rigorous Passivhaus certification standards — a first for the University of Exeter.
The result is a calm and contemporary space that embodies collaboration, inclusivity, and environmental responsibility — key values at the centre of Group Emmett Design’s approach to architecture.
