The work to the interior has retained as much of the open layout of the original space as possible, it has made the best use of the limited source of natural light openings yet retain the particular character and proportion of the indigenous history of the building. The design has been tailored to the requirements of the client whilst still retaining the historic nature of the cottage and optimises views onto the garden and moorland making an easy connection and flow between spaces. Blending traditional and natural building craft with new technological solutions to deliver a unique and ecological home that nestles within the beautiful landscape of the AONB.
